How to bridge from BNB to AVAX with Metamask

The best way to bridge from BNB to AVAX with your Metamask account is by going through Synapse, a bridging protocol with access to all blockchains. It allows users to quickly swap tokens between chains with ease.

Follow the below steps to get started:

  1. Visit the Synapse protocol
  2. Select 'Connect Metamask Wallet'
  3. Click 'Binance Smart chain' and 'Avalanche' under network
  4. Enter the amount of stable coin you wish to bridge (in the example below we use USDC)
  5. Press 'Approve USDC' and follow the prompts

After around 2 minutes, your USDC (or whichever token you sent) should arrive in your Metamask wallet on the Avalanche Network. To check, simply click the fox button on your Chrome browser, select the Avalanche network and you will see your funds under the token you sent.

BNB to AVAX Bridge Fees

When bridging your BNB to AVAX from the Binance Smart Chain to the Avalanche C-Chain, you will need to consider the following fees that are involved.

  1. Transaction fee to deposit BNB into your Metamask Wallet
  2. Transfer of Token from Binance Smart Chain to Avalanche C Chain

Both transactions will cost you up to $50 USD to move your funds over to the AVAX network. However, once your funds have arrived to the Avalanche network, the costs to move funds around comes to about 1 cent per transaction. The gas fees on the Avalanche network are considerably lower than the fees on the Binance Smart Chain network.
